Tottenham shown two red cards in space of five minutes against Bournemouth

Spurs finished the game with 9 men, as Heung-Min Son and Juan Foyth were both shown straight red cards, but it was Travers who stole the show.

Bournemouth failed to create an openings for the majority of the game, before Ake scored a free header from a corner in stoppage time to secure all three points.

Looking to cement a spot in the Champions League potentially with a win, Spurs lost 1-0 at Bournemouth and now could find themselves out of the top four.

Bournemouth's English goalkeeper Mark Travers (R) saves a shot from Tottenham Hotspur's Brazilian midfielder Lucas Moura (unseen) during the English Premier League football match between Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur at the Vitality Stadium in Bournemouth, southern England on May 4, 2019.

Mauricio Pochettino's team selection made it clear that he was not wanting their top-four fate to go down to the final day and a strong side made a dominant start.

It soon turned into more of a dream debut for Travers as he single-handedly kept the Cherries in the game in the first half with a string of saves that shows exactly why he is thought so highly of.

Moura was denied again before the break as he latched onto a long ball over the top but Travers stuck out a leg to make the stop.

Porto goalkeeper Casillas suffers heart attack
Porto released a statement earlier on Wednesday saying Casillas was "stable and his heart problem has been resolved". The team lost to Liverpool last month in the Champions League knockout stages.

Son will return to the side to face Ajax in the Champions League, though.

They have to win the last two to have any real chance.

Son's sending off might have been harsh; the Korean star reacted with a push after being banged into from behind by Jefferson Lerma.

Eric Dier was lucky not to pick up a second yellow card when he stopped a Bournemouth breakaway on 34 minutes only to see referee Craig Pawson wave play on.

Foyth was chasing a loose ball in midfield as Simpson gained posession near the halfway line.

Tottenham pushed hard for the opener and Travers pushed away Dele Alli's powerful shot well, as Bournemouth rarely threatened on the break.
