Iman Shumpert posts heartfelt farewell to Kings after trade with Rockets

A few hours after the team traded Iman Shumpert to the Houston Rockets in a deal that will bring Alec Burks from the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Kings dealt Justin Jackson and Zach Randolph to the Dallas Mavericks for Harrison Barnes.

The Rockets will send guard Brandon Knight, forward Marquese Chriss and a 2019 lottery protected first-round pick to the Cavaliers. They were rumored to be offering Knight and a first as their primary package to do just that, and they banked those chips in this deal.

Cleveland will reportedly send Nik Stauskus and Wade Baldwin to Houston in the deal.

In Cleveland's fourth in-season trade, the Cavs have now gathered two first-round and six second-round picks. Knight, 27, is averaging three points-per-game in 12 games this season for Houston. Shumpert, known for his defensive prowess, has been hitting a near-career-best 36.6 percent of his career-high 4.8 3-point attempts per game. The Cavaliers will also continue to look elsewhere as they seek to rebuild a team that now stands at 11-43 on the year.

Stauskas, 25, has averaged 6.1 points, 1.6 boards and 1.4 assists in 15.3 minutes in 44 games, all off the bench, for the Blazers this season, with a shooting line of 41.9/34.4/88.9. He will be a free agent this summer.
