Sacha Baron Cohen's 'Who Is America?' Character Rebuts Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin is not happy about being 'duped' into appearing on Sacha Baron Cohen's new TV series

The comedian Sacha Baron Cohen has continued to spar with Sarah Palin, denying her claims that he impersonated a disabled war veteran during an interview for his new series.

She had previously posted about the experience on Facebook, saying that Cohen had "heavily disguised himself as a disabled USA veteran, fake wheelchair and all".

Palin said she had had "enough", took off her microphone and walked out of the interview.

In a lengthy Facebook post on Tuesday, Palin revealed she was unwittingly interviewed by Cohen, who she alleged disguised himself as a disabled US veteran for the sit-down.

Showtime has no comment.

Cohen is well-known for conducting interviews with unwitting suspects while he role-plays as foreign characters with controversial views on race, politics, and sexuality.

Who Is America? debuts on Showtime this Sunday at 9PM CST. And that's when I said, 'Guys, I don't want to be rude; you're guests in my home. "Ya" got me, Sacha. "If people do decide to tune in, they're going to hear about it anyway, if they tune in, well the ill-gotten gains by CBS and Showtime, those, I say, need to be donated to people who deserve the gains".

Cohen fired back at Alaska's former governor under the guise of Ruddick, a citizen journalist who runs the website Truthbary.org.

That same source said that Palin then flew down to Washington DC in November with her youngest daughter Piper, 16, to tape the interview. On Thursday the former Alabama judge and gubernatorial candidate issued a statement saying that he had agreed to attend a pro-Israel event that he later learned was staged by Cohen, who he described as dealing in "trickery, deception, and dishonesty".

Baron Cohen's stunts have landed him in court before, and Moore is threatening to file a lawsuit depending on how "Who Is America?" portrays him. Palin wrote. "No one in your organization (s) have the balls to return my calls or provide their real names; would be nice now so we may discuss which Vets organizations will receive the show's profits".

'He just, you know, he thinks this kind of stuff is amusing and mocking the disabled and mocking and belittling our vets with his portrayal, ' said an exasperated Palin.

"He thinks this kind of stuff is amusing and mocking the disabled and mocking and belittling our vets with his portrayal", said Palin.

Cohen, as Ruddick, then mocked Palin for questioning the authenticity of former President Barack Obama's birth certificate and comments she made about being able to see Russian Federation from her home in Alaska.
