Shouldn't you have more important things to do: Fallon to Trump

Jimmy Fallon, Donald Trump Feud — Watch Response On Tonight Show

Fallon responded on Twitter with a nod to the plight of young immigrants caught up in Trump's zero-tolerance administration policies.

In response to Trump's tweet, Fallon also took to Twitter and said that in honour of the President's tweet he will be making a donation to Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES) in his name.

But he has largely declined to address Trump, aside from monologue jokes - and now, it doesn't even matter. Over the weekend, instead of running the country, Trump read the transcript of a Hollywood Reporter podcast (who does that?) and was offended to learn that Jimmy Fallon deeply regrets having been so nice and playful with Trump in 2016.

The feud all started after Fallon expressed remorse about "humanizing" the then-candidate during their notorious interview.

Fallon got emotional as he admitted the backlash caused him to be depressed.

There's yet to be a response from Trump, but if he does, you can bet that Fallon will bat back once more.

"Now, I'm not depressed". I have a show to do. Trump said that he "made a fortune" for NBC with "The Apprentice", but complained that the network now treats "me horribly"."I think they are worse than CNN", he said. I'm a total goofball. "Why are you tweeting at me?" "That's all I'm here to do, is make you happy".

For Fallon, becoming the target of the president's ire feels a bit like adding insult to injury, to the extent that unlike his late-night rivals, he has fastidiously sought to continue making a light, amusing show, and in the process, seen his claim to ratings supremacy dramatically diminished.

Meghan Trainor stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she talked about the fact that there were no Chinese food restaurants on the island - Nantucket, Mass. - where she was grew up.

Trump also worked in a jab at Jimmy Kimmel, saying he said has "no talent".

"By the way, Donald".

How do you know what the United States of America is doing?

"But really, thanks a lot". As Fallon stayed away from the political sphere, sticking to his usual games and goofy interviews, his late-night cohorts pivoted hard in the other direction.

The rally was for South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, but it was very much about Trump- brash and boastful.

"He looks like a lost soul".
