American Sloane Stephens is into her first quarterfinal at the French Open, having stalled in the fourth round on four previous occasions. "Right now I'm only thinking about the quarterfinals but hopefully big things can happen here".

Stephens' quarterfinal opponent will be No. 2 Caroline Wozniacki, the reigning Australian Open champion, or No. 14 Daria Kasatkina of Russian Federation.

She has not dropped a set yet and will face U.S. Open runner-up Madison Keys in the fourth round.
